The College Plans
After that summer the cat, the bee, and the older sloth brother were all going to college, so they started thinking about where they were going to go. The dear and the land shark planned a day for them to visit the forest university to see if they liked it.
When that day came, the giraffe and the younger sloth brother stayed back at the giraffe's house and enjoyed a day of TV and coffee. They began to notice that the giraffe was just as addicted to coffee as the littler sloth was to TV.
Once they arrived at the university, they were greeted by the crazy friends of the deer and the land shark. All of them lived in their own homes instead of at school. Sometimes it seemed like the animals who lived at school were the only normal ones, but the craziness kept things interesting.
The cat and the bee were very excited and joined the forest university right away. However, the older sloth brother wanted to go somewhere that was a little more like his high school. He was a city kid at heart. The cat and the bee thought that maybe if they were super nice he would go to school with them, but along with pop punk and spiffiness, the city was something he wouldn't give up. (He later would give up the city and go to another college that STILL wasn't the forest university, but that's neither here nor there.) The older sloth was still a champ no matter where he colleged.

The Fruitenanny
One time, the dear invited the cat, the giraffe, the land shark, the bee, and the sloth brothers over to her house to eat the ripe fruit. They called it a Fruitenanny and it was delicious. It also sounded really silly.
The Bee's Birthday Party
Of course the first thing that they did when they all got to the Bee's house was play frisbee. They got the frisbee and headed off to the fields by the bee's house. There was a lot of throwing and catching, but mostly just flipping, flopping, screaming, and giggling. It was pretty hot out, but they kept playing until they couldn't move another inch.
When they were completely worn out they headed back to the bee's for a good romp in the pool. On the way back they heard a creepy voice calling out:
"Don't be stupid,
This I cry.
For if you're stupid,
You will die."
They were too tired to bother with it though, so they kept rolling along. The noise got louder and creepier:
"I hear your whispers from above,
So what are you friends talking of?
I need to know, oh tell me now,
I need to interject some how."
He or she was getting annoying now. Even the way it talked was weird. It wasn't cute at all. They looked up and saw a parrot staring down at them. It was an ugly parrot.
The giraffe said, "What do you want, Parrot? It's hot and we're tired. Can't you see it's pool time? Please just go away."
"BUPPY," honked the bee.
"If you befriend this parrot here,
Then you will have nothing to fear.
But if you speak so ill of me,
Then I will throw you from a tree.
You really must let me tell you,
The things I know and things I do,
For I am older and quite wise.
By five years I out age you guys.
You shouldn't be so awfully wild.
A foolish father kills his child.
His genes may pass, we can't forgive,
His kid does not deserve to live."
"Boo you stinky stinker!" said the dear. It was time to take down the big meany. "Go away. You are way to mean to have us as your buddies."
"Indeed!" the rest of them cried.
"And I really hope that you are never a daddy," the dear said angrily.
"Indeed!" the rest of them cried.
"And I really hope that you are never a daddy," the dear said angrily.
Then they walked away from the ugly parrot and marched right into the pool. They did cannonballs and flippy-doops. Even the cat got wet and splashed around with the rest of them.
When they got out of the pool, all the food was ready for chowing down on. The bee was a great barbecue man. He made burgers, hot dogs, and wings and they were all super yummy. BUT, the most exciting part of course were the "steakums". He took steak and cut it up into little steak bits that everyone could pop in their mouths like chips. "Steakums" were probably one of the best parts of the party and everyone hoped that the bee would make them the next year for his birthday party.**
When they were all done eating, they were plump and happy. They went inside and cuddled up on the couch in front of the TV. The bee put on one of his favorite movies called Jimmy and the Great Plum. They were so cumfy in the blankets and pillows that they all fell asleep before the movie ended. They finished it another time.
**Note:
Dear Bee,
You know what my favorite memory is? Eating steakums. Can we have some more this summer?

Getting Ready for a Party
It was getting close to the bee's birthday and he wanted to have a party, so he went to work on invitations for all of his new friends. He was still working on his communication skills, so they came out a little bizarre.
When he was done, he walked to the houses of each of his friends and delivered them. Even though the invitations were a lot more understandable than if the bee tried to tell them in words, they were still a little confusing. The sloth brothers wound up filling everyone in about the party because they knew the bee better than anyone else. Unfortunately, they worked at the chocolate shop and no one could cover their shifts, so they couldn't come.
Saturday came and the bee buzzed all around the house to prepare for his guests. He made sure the food was cooking, his bed was made, and his pets were fed all in time for the big event. He was planning on watching a movie, with his friends, at the end of the night so he went downstairs to get his big TV. While he was in the basement, he heard a noise from the door at the other end of the room. He got scared and ran back upstairs. He never opened that door because it was always cold and dark in there. His dad used to work in there sometimes, but no one else, and he was afraid that there were monsters in there.
It was 6:53 and the bee knew that his friends would be coming over any minute. He went down to the basement one more time to check whether the noise was still there. He heard the noise again and wondered whether it would ruin the party. It sounded like a ch-ch-ch-ch-ch. He got closer and was shaking out of fear.
"ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch"
He was so scared, but he grabbed the door and started to peek in.
"ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch EEEE," the sloths squeaked unable to contain themselves.
"OOO," the bee belted in surprise. He was still shaking a little.
"Sorry to scare you," the younger brother said.
"We just wanted to surprise you because we got off of work," said the older sloth.
"Buh dooble dip, flibbin flop," said the bee. (He meant to say he should have noticed it was them since they always rub their hands together when they're excited.)
The bee and the sloths went up stairs and the rest of the friends came to party.
The Dear
Now there is one more animal you have to meet really quick before I tell you about the bee's birthday party. Don't worry, she'll be important, I promise. It's the dear. She was a deer, but she was so sweet that she needed an extra "a". She lived in a log cabin surrounded by hundreds of flowers that she watered everyday. She also had a whole garden full of fruits and vegetables.
The dear went to the same university as the land shark. She was studying the environment and languages. She spoke English, Spanish, and Japanese, but she was determined to learn all the other languages too. All of them.
She was almost like a cross between the perfect loving mom and Professor McGonagall. She loved and cared for everything, but she wasn't afraid to put meanies in their place. Everyone loved the dear.
The Sloth Brothers
The sloth brothers were well known for being cool and classy. They sported their aviator sunglasses wherever they could, and even their cuddly blankets were fashionable.

The Bee
The cat and the giraffe were walking through the forest one day when they began to hear some strange noises.
"BUH... DEE..." it came in loud bursts, but it sounded very happy.
The giraffe and the cat got closer.
"UHH... DUH..." whatever it was, it was quite silly.
They started to hear a buzzing sound that was zooming left and right and all over the place.
"BIP..." it honked and it flew right up to the giraffe and the cat. It was a fuzzy bumble bee.
"Giraffe, Giraffe!" the cat giggled, "This is the goofy bee that I've been hearing about from the sloth brothers."
"Right," the giraffe said, "Can you decode his noises?"
"I'll try my best," the cat answered.
"How are the sloth brothers, Bee?" said the cat.
"DOOP"
The cat said to the giraffe, "They said that DOOP is his favorite thing to say. It means good and yes and things like that. Anything positive. I'm glad the sloths are doing well."
"Do you wanna play with us?" the cat asked the bee.
"DOOP"
They all went back to the bee's house and played frisbee until it was too dark to see it anymore. They stayed at the bee's house cause it was giant and had lots of games to play. It was a good time.
The Cat Meets the Giraffe
The cat was
getting nervous that she would never find a buddy to adventure with, so she
finally decided to talk to the giraffe. She really wasn't interested in someone
so big and scary, but there weren't many other choices.
She got to the
giraffe’s very tall house and knocked on the door. The giraffe opened the door
slowly and said, “Hello?” in a soft deep voice, “Oh, you’re the cat that’s
friends with the land shark. I’m friends with him from school.”
“Uh-huh,” the cat mumbled, “I just wanted to know if you wanted to go on an
adventure with me, cause no one else wants to.”
“Where?”
“I want to see
the dark parts of the forest, but everyone’s too scared.”
“EEEP!” the
giraffe squeaked. He was really big, but he didn't like spooky things one bit. “I
don’t know. You want to play with my tree bugs?”
The cat decided
to play with the tree bugs and have some fun even if she couldn't go exploring
yet. The giraffe was a sweetheart even though he was so big, so they became
best of friends.

The Land Shark
Bet you didn't know there was a land shark too. Well, there was. And boy was he a treat. He was really smart and went to one of the universities in the forest. There was a legend that there was a spooky place underneath the university, but no one ever dared to explore it.
The land shark really liked science and wanted to become a professor some day, but he was even more goofy than he was smart. His favorite thing to talk about was... poop. Here a poop, there a poop, everywhere a poop poop. Not a poop joke was spared around the good old land shark.
He grew up with the cat ever since they were tiny baby animals. Sometimes the cat and the land shark shared their soups and puddings with each other. The land shark preferred to call it "the puds" instead of pudding. They were great friends.
The Giraffe
At the same time as the cat, there was a giraffe. The giraffe
was so big that the rest of the animals were afraid to talk to him. He was also
very shy and was nervous to talk to new friends even when they did come around. He got up every morning, ate the leaves off the tallest trees, and then played
with the bugs in his trees all day long. His favorites were the ants because
they were always running everywhere and he liked to think they were racing. He always wanted to be a racing giraffe, but he knew that he would never be able
to get into the Giraffe School of Running, and even if he did, he might never take off
as a popular racer. Still, he went to bed every night dreaming about racing
through the forest faster than anyone who ever came before him. The giraffe
never yet imagined that there could be a world out there beyond his running
dreams.
The Cat
Once there was a happy fluffy cat. She lived in a tiny house
in the forest. In the tiny house were lots and lots of pillows.
The cat went out every day to enjoy the fresh air and
sunlight, but when it rained the cat slept all day in her pillows. She really
wanted a buddy to adventure with because there were so many things to see in
the forest, and she was afraid that she would get abducted by forest beasts if she went alone. Female cats never stood a chance in the dark parts of the forest regardless
of their mental and physical strength, especially at night. One day she set out
to find her buddy.
She searched high and low but couldn't find a single buddy
willing to venture into the dark parts of the forest. It was tough finding a
good bud, but the cat wouldn't give up until she was done.
