Getting Ready for a Party

It was getting close to the bee's birthday and he wanted to have a party, so he went to work on invitations for all of his new friends. He was still working on his communication skills, so they came out a little bizarre.

When he was done, he walked to the houses of each of his friends and delivered them. Even though the invitations were a lot more understandable than if the bee tried to tell them in words, they were still a little confusing. The sloth brothers wound up filling everyone in about the party because they knew the bee better than anyone else. Unfortunately, they worked at the chocolate shop and no one could cover their shifts, so they couldn't come.

Saturday came and the bee buzzed all around the house to prepare for his guests. He made sure the food was cooking, his bed was made, and his pets were fed all in time for the big event. He was planning on watching a movie, with his friends, at the end of the night so he went downstairs to get his big TV. While he was in the basement, he heard a noise from the door at the other end of the room. He got scared and ran back upstairs. He never opened that door because it was always cold and dark in there. His dad used to work in there sometimes, but no one else, and he was afraid that there were monsters in there.

It was 6:53 and the bee knew that his friends would be coming over any minute. He went down to the basement one more time to check whether the noise was still there. He heard the noise again and wondered whether it would ruin the party. It sounded like a ch-ch-ch-ch-ch. He got closer and was shaking out of fear.

     "ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch"

He was so scared, but he grabbed the door and started to peek in.

"ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch EEEE," the sloths squeaked unable to contain themselves.

"OOO," the bee belted in surprise. He was still shaking a little.

"Sorry to scare you," the younger brother said.

"We just wanted to surprise you because we got off of work," said the older sloth.

"Buh dooble dip, flibbin flop," said the bee. (He meant to say he should have noticed it was them since they always rub their hands together when they're excited.)

The bee and the sloths went up stairs and the rest of the friends came to party.
